This photograph shows the now-historic Zeiss Mark II Planetarium Projector operating in the Theater of the Stars of Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science, as it did for the entire tenure of the original Buhl Planetarium: 1939 to 1991. October 24 marks the 75th anniversary of the dedication of the original Buhl Planetarium. The Zeiss II Planetarium Projector is now on exhibit (display-only) in Pittsburgh's Carnegie Science Center.
