Rare solar 'tornado' captured on camera

NASA releases rare video of stunning Earth-size tornado on the Sun

The U.S. space agency NASA has released a stunning image of an Earth-sized tornado on the Sun, the first video ever recorded.
In early February, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory captured footage of whirling tornado-like storm on the surface of the sun. The enormous mass of plasma raged for over a day and was estimated to be larger than the Earth, according to NASA astronomers.
