This photograph shows the Southwestern Pennsylvania World War II Memorial, located a few blocks southwest of Pittsburgh's original Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science, which was dedicated last December 6, the day before Pearl Harbor Day. June 6 will mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied Forces invaded Normandy in France and began the liberation of Europe during World War II. (Image Source: Friends of the Zeiss)
